A friend of mine (far from my house) has several front derailleurs.
Wich one should i pick to have the best tire clearance on my Surly KM frame ?

Try to avoid this tight clearance if you can. Not sure if one of those will do it.

...Should work, both are Bottom pull, whereas the lower one is a Top pull. However, the upper left I guess works better with compact rings and the upper ring is better for "Standard" rings. This has to do with the cage profile. 9 Speeds?? I don't know, some say yes, others not so much...

I already have got a front XT derailleur, but need to use "monkey nuts" with a bontrager 2.2.
That's why i'm checking with of theses derailleur i should choose to be able to remove the monkey nuts.
So i have to remove the bottom one fron the list.
Of the top 2, any idea of the "shortest" one ?

Not sure a 2.2 ACX would work nutless, but going with the LX M571 traditional swing bottom pull swapping out for a pinch bolt with a button head may be the only possibility to get it to work.
