So after doing research on bike brands in my price range of under $900 I came down to these two bikes:
2017 Trek Marlin 7 Trek Marlin 7 -
2017 Specialized Rockhopper Comp 29 Specialized Rockhopper Comp 29 - Rock N' Road Cyclery - Orange County, California - Mission Viejo, Laguna Niguel, Anaheim Hills, Irvine

I'm looking to get a new mountain bike because I have outgrown my previous one and it's just old. I want to replace it with a new one to last me for a while, and to just have when I want to ride some trails. The bike would be for just being a bit more active and to ride some trails, no jumps or nothing extreme or crazy (also not using for road, I own a road bike.) It would be maybe riding trails once every two weeks on average, nothing more than that.

The dilemma between the two is:
I can get the Trek for $829 at Jax, and they offer a "Flat Pack" deal where I pay a one time price of $50 and I can come whenever I need to have a flat tire fixed without paying for the tube or labor. Plus they offer a 60 day of free tune-up after buying the bike.
Or get the Specialized bike from Rock n Road Cyclery where they said they could drop the price down to $750, and then they have a 90 day free tune-up after buying the bike.

The price drop from Rock n Road Cyclery is tempting and would really help me save some money, especially in comparison of Jax where I would spend a total of about $1000. Any help from experienced riders that are familiar with all the parts that each bike features and can let me know what is more worth buying? Any feedback would help. Thanks! :)
