Hi guys

a bit new to this sport...bought my Jeep Wrangler SE hart tail back in 2006...nothing like the ones they sell now...much more well built nad for more hardcore riding...BUT, my suspension fork on the front is a bit too...bad...for what i am doing...i love all mounatin biking and the suspension doesnt even absorb anything...anyway, i have spotted a rockshox boxxer for a really good price( not the 2010)...i was thinking of bying it but will it be ok on my bike? i need at least a 150mm fork because although its all mounatin, its really bumpy, if you know what i mean...also, i was thinking of taking of my 3 speed front chainrings and put just one because the chain keeps dropping off some times and i dont really need all of them...i really need help on doing all this stuff!!! Please help!

listen, getting a bigger fork for a bike made with a smaller fork, really throws off the handling and the way your bike acts. Its going to make your bike miserable to ride if you probably even got a half size bigger. im not sure what size you have, but 150mm is very big, made for all mountain use in extreme terrain.

As for the front chainrings, you could have dull teeth, or a bad chain, or just not tuned in properly.

Anyhow if you want a beefy bike like that, consider giving up a few bucks for a new bike
what bike do you suggest for less than 600 euros? hardtail...
You can get a very nice bike for that price.. Do you know what local shops carry? I would suggest any scott aspect or a gary fisher marlin disc... Both fantastic bikes. If i was you id do a little research before you buy a bike, just to see whats outhere.

ban this spamming idiot

to the OP:
$600 euro will get you a lot, go to your local bike shop and see what they can sell you for $700, then test ride all of them. then talk them down to $600 for it. it will be much better than that jeep broken thing u have there
you need one of them new boxxers with the 200mm travel.. better yet, get you a fox 40
better yet, replace your current junk with a steel rigid fork and learn how to pick lines

whats lbs?

anyway...look, when i say for about 600 means internet, because when you see a bike on america for 500 bucks, it costs about 1000 bucks in greece...so cant really be bothered to spend so much on a bike...i found a good site from slovakia and they got the transition tr450 for 1700 euros...i will try to go for that as it is a very good price...

Was that for a complete bike? The tr450 frame alone will be about 1700 euro.
The Boxxer will probably rip the headtube right off that Jeep. You should be looking for a 80 or 100mm travel fork, but more likely, a new bike.

pretty sure his jeep bike is nothing more than a stickered up dept store bike.
which 80/100mm fork would you recommend him to install on that?

good advice on the new bike though. OP get a new bike~!
