off to Glentress and Innerleithen this week for 4 whole days of solo happiness :D
taking the AM as opposed to the HT's I think, but wondering about it's configuration.

do i use the monarch 4.2 or the CCDB ?

flats or spd's ?

2.25" UST nobby nics or 2.4" nobby nic tubed ?

joplin r or thomson ?

i'm thinking monarch / spd's / 2.25" nn ust's and thomson keeping the weight below the 30lb mark.

your thoughts ?

Hey, These are both wonderfull places for biking.
We were there a couple of weeks ago.

Check this link for some pictures:

You must take your joplin with you, it is excellent for the trail riding over there. I should use SPD pedals (because there are quite some climbs) and 2.4 tires.

Yes.

You should definitely take a bike. Dont forget your helmet and the rest of your kit.

Wouldnt worry about the weight I stomped round the black on my FR with totems.

Think about what is going to make it an enjoyable ride. Deffo the joplin as it makes those long drops so much more fun. deffo SPDs as there is a fair old bit of climbing - it it was me id always run the CCDB it just feels so good :)

gone back to the Joplin and the CCDB.
combo of 819 (rear) NN 2.25" and 5.1D front NN 2.4".
gone for the spd's as it's hardly technical, just a lovely long slog :D

i hope the weather holds out !

what an AWESOME weekend !

too many problems with Tubeless on Friday, fast, dry, hot and dusty all day Saturday.

the AM performed flawlessly. the added weight of the Joplin and CCDB was un-noticeable, and I had an epic weekend.
