Hey antonio,
What kind of riding are you expecting to do? XC, rocks, drops, roots, gravel, packed? Not familiar with the trails in NE.
Anyways, a good starting point is to follow the recommendations on Santa Cruz's website. Then adjust accordingly. I know this sounds cliche, but it works. You may need to increase/decrease the air pressure to achieve the right sag. Once this is done, then it's pretty much trial and error depending on the terrain that is most commonly ridden with regards to the rebound adjustment (presuming that it's the float r shock).
Goodluck.
