hey there,

I'm starting to put together a build kit for a blindside in the spring. I just sold my old DH frame and i'm trying to replace the old, broken down parts for the new build. I'm definitely set on getting a blindside frame so i'm wondering if any of you can help me with a good choice for a headset. I got 75$ to pricepoint for christmas so i'd like to get it from there and i'd like to get something with sealed bearings, not the open grease type (i've had issues with those in the past and i'd like something better). SO, any suggestions? I'm not very familiar with 1.5" headsets and i'll be running my old manitou travis on it so i'll need a reducer type so i can run a 1.125" headtube.

Also, any suggestions for a chain guide that is compatible with the blindside? I need it to be on the cheaper side, and it'll be going with a 2007 set of FSA gravity Gap cranks.

thanks for the help!

My 1.5 Orbitz went to crap, and people seem to like Cane Creeks. Supposedly Crankbrothers are very brittle and crack easily.

the cane creeks are very nice. after three years of loyal service i swapped out my 'like new' cane creek double xc for a chris king. the king is, well, a total work of art. the cane creek is a nice fully functional and reasonably priced alternative.
