I have been narrowing down an annoying creak on my bike & believe it is coming from the headset. The FSA Orbit XL II is tight and smooth ( no looseness when rocking bike w/ front brake on) but I noticed a couple very small paint chips where the top cup enters the frame. The frame is an Enduro & I run a 150mm Flick - it's an all mountain ride and run the fork for its long a-c height. So if my headtube / headset is causing the creak is there a headset w/ a greater insertion depth ? I know CK makes a steel set but 1" depth is a bit steep. Any suggestions ? Thanx
