Hi there, girlfriends headset bearings are a bit grindy feeling, does anyone know what size the bearings are?

I know I could remove them to check but...

What headset for Mach 5.7?

Ive just bought a used Mach 5.7 alloy frame and need to buy a headset. I believe I need a zero stack semi-integrated tapered headset, but I cant figure out which to go with. I dont know which bearing size (OD) or cup depth the frame will accept. Can anyone suggest a specific headset I should...

Thanks for the reply. I saw that thread but couldn't find the info I was after in it as they seem to be discussing building up a frame and deciding what headset to use.

The bike my girlfriend has is a stock build (it's a blue anodised frame). It has the stock red anodised headset which I think is Pivot branded.

Same as the bike on page 21 of this document.

I had the Mach 5 in the same, or similar blue. There should be markings on the bearing if you pull it out. I think it is a ZS44 style headset.

The top one is marked but the bottom one isn't.

Do all ZS44 headsets have the same bearings?
