I tried searching this w/o too much help about my specific problem.

I run a maverick with a SC32 fork.

When I tighten the headset bolt to the point where there is no play...the steering becomes difficult. If I loosen it up enough to where the steering is normal, I have a loose headset.

I have checked the bearings, greased, etc and everything seems to be in good working order. What gives?

what headset? sounds like its time for a cc s2.
