I know, what we need is an even/odd day program out there. Even days, mountain bikes can't park there. Odd days, mountain bikers can't use the trials.
22 cars in one day? How many horse trailer spots are there up there?!mdlb21 said:They are doing the same thing in Three Sisters main parking lot--22 cars including mine got a $50 ticket there on Saturday.
silly me, I assumed that it was just an increase in enforcement at the Mt. Falcon.mdlb21 said:They are doing the same thing in Three Sisters main parking lot--22 cars including mine got a $50 ticket there on Saturday.
@ Falcon, there can't be more than 5 spots, and they wrote 36 tickets on Saturday.BaeckerX1 said:22 cars? How many horse trailer spots are there up there?!
If you are in the main parking area the entire north side of the lot is reserved for horse trailers--enough room for 22 cars to be parked next to each other, which would be 2 to 3 full size trucks with trailers attached.BaeckerX1 said:22 cars in one day? What if I put a giant cardboard box over my car and write Horse Trailer on the side, drop a few horse turds next to it so it smells real nice?btadlock said:@ Falcon, there can't be more than 5 spots, and they wrote 36 tickets on Saturday.
The ranger said every time they rolled thru, every space was in use illegally and they wrote a ticket for each every car they found in one of the spaces.
Hey now, you were right on point and completely logical in your response, right up to the part where you made a disparaging remark about the Mt. Falcon trail.schnauzers said:I don't see the problem here. Most of the parks have spots for the horse trailers and this is not just a JeffCo thing. Boulder has horse trailer parking as well. For the one or two horse trailers that come to a park, I don't see the big deal in designating an extra large spot for them. They do it for handicapped. Besides, if the park is that crowded that every space is taken, who the hell wants to ride there anyway? Especially, the Mt. Falcon super highway.
I don't ride horses, but seriously? How do you think they are supposed to park if they have a large truck pulling a horse trailer? A couple spots for their parking is not a big deal, yes it takes up more space, but how else are they going to park? Should they just take up 7 regular spots in the normal parking area so they can piss even more people off?enduroslrider said:"JCOS has changed the permanent signage, stating that the spaces are reserved for horse trailers and have stepped up enforcement."
You've got to be kidding me?!?!?
I'm going to gather up all of their horse $hit and put it in their "designated" parking spots...
More preferential treatment for the equestrian crowd...Go figure...
Even better, make it an Ironhorse bike. Someone please do this in front of rangers. I would love to see the ensuing argument.Klein_Christopher said:Heck just get a horse trailer and pull you bike out of it.. WTF are they going to say to that? you know that you will get a spot every time...
