So around 5 pm today I was at Walgreens waiting for my buddy who hasnt been on a bike in a long time. I was going to take him out and show him a few of Hawes trails. We headed out a little late around 5:20 and passed fenceline there is a part that goes up and then down. Well I know that if I get some speed I can get a little air so I "hammer down"
and get my air..I look up and Holy Crap there is a guy in front of me. We both slam on the brakes and slam into eachother. Its a good thing we were almost stopped when we hit eachother. He said he was ok..I was ok...bikes looked good we exchanged sorry's and then kept riding.
That is a first time for me and hopefully a last. Lesson: Look farther ahead when you ride. I know I just came over a ridge but I should have seen him earlier. I outweighed him by a good 100 lbs and I felt kinda bad.
So, if you were that guy....my sincere apologies again
Ride safe.
