Hi Guysss..

Im visiting DC this weekend.. I am looking to ride some on Sat morning... Anyone heading out and wanna meet up? I'm staying at a friends in Pentagon City, but can drive up to about an hour or so... I've heard Rosary Park (sp?) is in OK condition... everything up here in Philly is still snowy..

I'm an intermediate rider - have a hardtail.. I am quick DOWN but not extremely good at climbing lol.. let me know whats up!

Most of the trails in the DC area have been unrideable for the past couple of weeks unless they are frozen. With the warmer weather, they should dry out and be rideable late this week and this weekend.

I recommend checking out the MORE forums . Specifically, the PIT, Rides, and Trail Conditions sections.

I am pretty sure that there will be some rides going out this weekend.
Rosaryville, if that's what you're referring to, will be dry but is in terrible condition. A bunch of irresponsible trail users destroyed it. It's so rutted out out in areas it's like riding on rocks.

I can probably do Laurel Hill on Saturday if you feel like driving out. Trail info here: http://www.logoffrideon.com/trails/index.php?title=Laurel_Hil

Probably not the most helpful link. :)

Try this one instead: http://www.logoffrideon.com/trails/index.php?title=Laurel_Hill

Being completely useless is a hobby of mine. ;)

Seriously, thanks for the fix.
I just rode Rosaryville yesterday (2/17/11) and I thought the conditions were great! There were some pretty rutted up areas, but all together I thought it was nice. It might have helped my opinion of it because it was 70 degrees out! It was also my first time riding there, and everything around where I live (north of Baltimore) would have been a slop hole or still pretty icy.
One more note on Rosaryville, I there was a horse rider infront of me that was doing more damage to the trails than the ruts from bikes.
