1 piston hydros aimed at beginners and XC riders. Pass.
if ur lookin at them for an XC rig they work pretty all right, but if ur lookin at DH/FR then no get something better. I have 'em on my Trance3 for XC for about 8 months and would say that's all they're good for.
well in that case what would you reccomend for dh/fr? i'm kinda thinking bb7's cause i hear they work great and don't cost alot.
bb7's over soles any day. ive heard the Hayes HFX 9's are ok. you can score a used set of mags or juicy 5's if you keep looking and be patient. I got my mags for $100 in almost new conidition. just needed pads and longer rear hose.

I am a hayes man but I wouldn't recommend the Hayes 9's.....many people complain about them...and my buddies sucked so he switched to the Hayes Mags
Id wait until Jan-Feb. Alot of the web retailers are blowing out last years Hayes Mags at like 1/2 price.
