Hi,
I was at my lbs today and I saw a couple hayes boxes sitting in the corner. They were from 1999. They are hydro discs. 6 inch. The rear is cable operated but still a hydro, so it didnt come with a handle. I dont know much info on them. They wanted 200 for the pair, is that good or bad? Seems a little high for something that old to me, but they have never been used.

Hmm.. cable operated hydro for $200 - leave them where they sit. Look online for better hydro deals.

If you want hydro i suggest Hays.
If you want cable i suggest Avid.
Avid cable disc brakes are a great value, almost better than hydro, some will even argue that & say better than hydro. I wouldnt argue it's d**n close.
