Mip penn and Cal Fire teamed up to do a controlled burn up there today to burn out the invasive non native plant species. We were able to burn approximately 200 acres which should realy make that area spectacular next spring when all the native wildflowers bloom.
the trails are still rideable

Me, I'm totally exhausted and even after showering I still reek of smoke

Cool. They've done a great job restoring native wildflowers on Russian Ridge. A must see in March/April/May. Glad to hear the burn was well controlled!
