My friend Margie (whom some of you have ridden with) claims that there is a trail somewhere in the vicinity of Bob's (or Corral's?) that is called the "Ballerina Trail". Has anyone heard about it??? She asked Daryl on Thurs night and he didn't know. I still think she's crazy, but whatever....:p.

There are a couple of trails in the vicinity of Bob's - one is a loop that starts at the bottom of Bob's and connects back in about halfway up (near the bench) and the other connects Bob's to 8th Street, which connects in at almost the same spot on Bob's. The latter is legal, the former I believe is not legal (but I have hiked and biked it. Bad Earthpig!!) Not sure whether either has an official name.
I didn't know that first one you mention is illegal. When I rode it a few years back, it was a tad narrow and tricky. Nice variety.

It's not signed as limited to a specific group of users so it should be all good. However, not a whole lot of people ride (or walk) that trail since there are some steep climbs if you do it clock-wise.

Well, I'm not absolutely sure whether it is legal or not. I rode it with RRB and Flip last winter, and have hiked it with the wife a couple of times. Pretty steep and rutted in spots, but the downhill back to Bob's is fun.

There are several trails of questionable openness up there. Some are signed "closed" at the top put not at the bottom, some are vague and can lead to adventurous riding. There's also a rumor of R2R trying to open a connection between the bottom of Boobs and Kralls. Flip gets his BJ there. Go figure...
I call that Trail Bob's Alternate.....

Catchy name I know... I'm sure Twisted Crank will use it.....

I prefer riding it counter clockwise with the stiff climb from the start. On those crowded lower foothills days when you can't seem to get away from folks.....I know I can find a little solitude at the top of the ridge after the climb.

Never seen it cleaned on a singlespeed.......saw Pete from IMT make it 3/4 of the way before he had to stop for a break. He got back on and finished it though......

Gary if you and RRB have ridden it on SSs both directions....well done! Riding it counter clockwise gives you the option to drop halfway down to the golf course trail.
