I'm on my second bottom bracket And the big bearing assembly makes grumbling when peddling backwards and in overdrive when peddling forward. It still shifts perfect. It takes special tools to disasemble and my local shop does not have them. I have not decided what Im going to do yet, for now Im riding it.

Looking at mine, I see no reason why the cable couldn't exit at 12:00, instead of out the front. If they had done that, it would be protected from rocks and logs. I ordered replacement parts for a customer with one and SRAM sent a kit with the entire backplate and other parts, all just for the small plastic cable guide. It was free, so I'm not complaining, but they must know that it's a problem.

hahahaha, I snapped the bolt that holds this same plastic cable holder. It still shifts but skips once in a while. Mine was due to bashes on the bash guard as I ride trials with it and that happens from time to time. Overall they are excellent, mine has outlasted a frame so far and they work so well I got one for my DH bike.

My FR one has started popping and skipping a lot in the harder gear, even with the shifter completely removed (locked in the hard gear). It doesn't seem to skip in the easy gear, but is really loud when it pops in the hard gear, the internals looked ok (with the exception of the plastic broken shifter cable guide). Also, my shifter broke today, anyone use a different shifter with it?
