Just measured mine..

Just curious if the stated 4.5 inches of travel is the actual travel!
Just measured mine and it's 4.5 inches just like they claim. I measured by turning the bike upside down and measuring the distance from the rear axle to the ground. Then I deflated the rear shock and compressed the suspension and measured this distance again. I got a difference of 123 mm (4.8) inches, but the padding in my seat is compressing a little (7-8 mm). If you subtract the amount the seat is compressing from the total you get ~115 mm (4.5 inches) which is exactly what Santa Cruz claims.
