Hi all. Still mulling over single speed and both my current bikes (Knolly) are superboost, so if I pick up another MTB frame to build up SS, I'd prefer to have the same rear spacing so I can swap wheels between bikes. Does anybody make a good modern hardtail with adj dropouts AND superboost??

Just to add ... Sergeant went SuperBoost starting with v3 (the green one). Not sure that it matters, but that's paired with an 83mm BB shell as well.

This one might have gears but 4.0's on 70's or plus wheels work quite well on the V3 and later.
83mm BB
157mm rear spaced.

Fat with a 73mm BB is just abhorrent.

Well, Sarge I did do a 3.8 but the issues were less than stellar.
The frame has loads of tire space and sliders cause sliders are the only way to fly for options in wheel/tire uses.
Enter Sarge III, 83mm gives way to chains and fatness of VH 4's without drama.

Next bike may well be either Walt's doing or Qurinng's doing with my dimensions and geo choices. That is a goodly distance down the road tho'.

I ride a small, but that's a sweet looking rig. What is it?
A one-off by a long time riding buddy who'd planned to go into framebuilding full time at one time under the name Addiction Cycles but eventually decided not to.
After he bought his framebuilding jig, the full suspension market exploded, singlespeeding seemed to have reached its peak (we were SSers at the time) and he felt building rigids & hardtails wouldn't be his ideal profession after all.
Hardtail demand seemed to be waning, carbon fiber was eclipsing other frame materials (particularly good ol' steel) and the custom framebuilder seemed to be becoming a lonely fella.
That may not be the case in actuality, but it felt enough like it to him that he decided to move on. Too bad because he's got mad skills, particularly with metals. Now he makes custom knives.
As for bike frames, he only builds for friends anymore and that'll end soon -- his framebuilding jig is for sale.

I'm selling it because at 68 years old I'm simply over hardtails.
Hate to admit it but I am.

Another PBJ...
Transition PBJ

That Sklar makes me think of Retrotec Double. A more classic style and much more elegant lines! Both are on the radar...
Here’s my latest Waltworks - 157 rear end, short stays, pink, and fun.

. Hasn’t arrived yet, so I’ll have to repost about the actual fun.

Walt’s the way to go.
