Looking @ a couple hubs Chain Reaction Cycles sells. Halo Supa Drive :

Nuke Proof Generator :

120 vs 30 engagment points. Halo has 2 pawls, NPG has 6 pawls. Both weigh around 300g. Any thoughts on these two hubs ? Thanx

I have no experience with the Halo, but i've recently got the NPG. 30 engegement points is good enough for me, pickup is almost instanteous. The hub isn't that loud, i'd say it's surprisingly quiet. No long term review yet - it's winter around here :(. The front NPG hub is awesome, though - very easily convertible between qr/20mm, without tools.
Wow, the Nuke Proof hubs appear to be the same as the Halo Six Drive. I believe they come from Chosen in Taiwan.
Looks identical to the six drive. FWIW my six drive died in about 5weeks of use. I had worn/broken two teeth on the drive mech.
Sounds like I should pony up the extra $50 for the Halo Supa Drive -

They're made by whoever makes WTB's LaserDisc Lite hubs and use similar internals, they even sound the same. That's what the rep said to my LBS anyway so I hope it's right?
