Just saw a post about a vacationer and her long distance travel bike.

There's a shot of the fork w/ a Salsa Anything cage mounted to the three pack bolts.

But the cool part- there's an H2O cage mounted to the Salsa cage.
So the fork could carry both cargo and water on each leg.
Nimble? Nope.
Shredding Shrolping the gnar? Not so much maybe.

Going a long long way w/ just about whatever you might need?
Maybe.

Perhaps I'm the last to learn of this.
Have any of you found a clever way to replicate this? The photo doesn't show clearly how the rider has done it.
I'd guess some t-bolts.

Looks like she used some metal pipe strapping as a backing material.

Assuming I'm correct, here's an example of the strapping material. It's pretty thin & flexible stuff; not sure I'd trust it for this application.

My Troll fork has two sets of braze-ons on each fork leg. Not sure if they're spaced well enough to make that work, but it seems possible.

I’ve seen other forks with the double set of eyelets.
Looks a bit freakish but they sure do the trick.
But- I’m not adding any new forks to this bike. Not for a bit of extra storage.

I robbed this guy's idea for the Blackburn Outpost. I did get a set of Arundel Looney cages to really lock down the bottles on my suspension fork. wrapped the lowers with electrical tape and an old tube, then used hose clamp to secure it to the fork.

Overall the design works great. Having water and storage on my fork is a little heavy for my liking (I tend to take my rig off drops and jump around a fair amount still).
