Hey all,

From the latest threads it's good to see that people are enjoying the summer riding. Next Saturday open space is going to work on the trails in Gutierriez Canyon. As always, we look for volunteers to help out. This is the large tract of land that the city bought a few years ago, and next Saturday, the 17th is the second of three builds to develop trails. We'll be cutting new trail to connect the east and west sides. If you have the time, please help out. Either post here or contact Eric Zsemlye of open space at 452-5208. We'll be meeting at the Cedar Crest parking area on Highway 14, just south of the Cedar Crest Post Office. We'll plan on meeting at 8:45 AM and then we can car pool over to Steve's land where we accessed the OS last month. Thanks!

No, to my knowledge no one will work Sunday. There will be one more build next month and I'll post it. There was a good turnout for this one, and the trail is looking good.

Where is the joining trail from the west side to the east? I live over on the west side by Ribs and would like to find some good trails to ride in the neighborhood.

Go to the post office and look for the trailhead at the east end of the parking lot. We are in the process of connecting the two sides officially, but the forest closure this summer slowed things down.
