I ordered a set of wheels (kings/Mavics) from Mike about 3 weeks ago. There was a problem receiving some of the parts (no fault of Mike's). The parts finaly arrived on Monday, I expalined to Mike that I needed the wheels by Friday. Mike told me he would work on the wheels the following day and send them 2 day to shipping. Not only did he keep his word, I had the wheels Wednesday, 2 days earlier than I requested. He must have worked on them as soon as we hung up the phone. Mike did not charge me any additional shipping charges and the wheels look and ride great. This is why for all future wheel needs I will be dealing with Odds and Endos. One last point I forgot to mention is his pricing is more than fair.

I recently taco'd my front wheel in a nasty crash and called Mike Garcia to see how much it would cost to replace it (I bought the wheelset from him in December 2003). Mike said to take apart the rim and spokes and send him jus the hub. He would then build me a new wheel with my old hub and send it back to me.

I got the wheel back 2 days ago, so the total turn-around time from when I sent the hub to when I received the wheel was only 8 days (including 4 to ship the hub to FL).

The best part is that he did not charge me any labor to build up the wheel nor did he charge any markup on the parts. Total cost? $53!! And that included shipping. Now that is great service.

All of my future wheelsets will be from Odds and Endos. And I've told my friends to do the same.

Thx...Doug

Oh great, you guys are doing a heck of a job selling me a disc wheelset from him. :p I've been thinking about going disc and have been eyeballing the WTB Laserdisc Lite/Mavic 717 from Mike's website for a while now. It's big hunk of change, but since the Mavic 517's on my XTR wheelset are worn, I think I'm sold. :)

Highly recommend Mike Garcia

Just had a rear wheel built with a CK hub/DT Swiss rim and another on it's way with a WTB disc hub/Velocity rim and couldn't be happier with the experience. I was probably in the same shipment as RM27 for the CK stuff and Mike also kept his word on dates while turning around and shipping the finished wheel before the weekend I needed it. All my future wheelsets as well as my wife's will be coming from oddsandendos!

Yup. He built a one-off set of 24 hole 3.1 ust rims with ti spokes/alum nips/Hugi 240 rr and formula front hub for me at 1621gms. Been raced all year and still straight and true. Also a front 717/wtb/XL17 nondisc-14/15s disc side/alum nips front(714gms)built last August. Raced its brains out since, and still as straight as the day I recieved it. Always get spare spokes and nips with each wheel as well. top rate service at the best prices.

I just got my set of King wheels from Mike today. OMFG they rock. and they came in lighter than he initially quoted me. 895 for rear and 753 front. much nicer than the Deore Mavic 139 set that came with my bike.

ditto

Just got my second order after loving my XTR/717 build. Now I've got WTB/Velocity to join them. Prices are great. Weights are incredible. It's not clear to me why anyone would buy a pre-built Crossmax/land etc

I just talked my friend out of doing that(buying premade wheels). He might be giving Mike a call in a few days. After he saw and rode my king rear I just got from Mike. Another satisfied customer here. My wheel was a few weeks lateer than told, but that was on Kings side. My wheel was built up the day he got the hub and rdy to be shipped.

I must have been waiting on the same order from the distributor, as Mike told me three people were waiting for King hubs. He shipped them last Monday and they arrived priority mail on the Wednesday. I bugged him every other day to see when my blue CKs would be coming and he never once got p###ed off with me calling. It's my second set of wheels from him and my first set (road wheels that weigh nothing and didn't cost a fortune) are still true.

Great guy and fab wheelsets. He'll build whatever you want, but will also tell you if he thinks that what you want might not be best for you.

I'm gonna' pile on too! If you are thinking of buying wheels, you should talk to Mike. He will talk your ear off! Very knowledgable about wheels.
I bought a WTB LL/VXC set from him and couldn't be happier. His wife is also very nice. My Stout front hub had a lot of flex I think, so changing to the WTB plus non-flip off style skewer solved my front brake squeal. Total weight of my set with tape, 1583 grams (no skewers).

I'm looking to order a mtb disc ultralightweight wheelset, built around Soul-Kozak hubs.

I've e-mailed Mike 3 times now and no reply.

His feedback is excellent from every post I've seen.

I'm looking at spending approx $700 on a single wheelset, so I'm surprised that I got no reply.

Give him a call instead.

As others have said, he is great to talk to. He will ask about your riding style, type of terrain, etc. then recommend a build up for you.

He's always been busy as you can see from the feedback here. Better to call him and get some live one on one.

Third season on Mike's AC disc / VXC's and still goin'.

I found that they were kinda on and off about answering emails(maybe they got lost in the spam) I'd try calling them, I always would get some sort of busy signal while calling, the first 10 tries atleast, but that may have been my phone since we have VOIP and its done that on some other 800 numbers

I never got an email reply from them either. i imagine he's busy in the back building the wheels. When I called I was given full attention and consideration though. I guess a ringing phone is a lot more annoying than a pile of emails that you can just mass-delete :p

Ditto here. His forte is not answering email, granted, but talk with him on the phone and you will get more information than you ask for. I couldn't be happier with his work or service.
