I tried pumping grease into my 5 Spot pivots but very little if any went in and none of the old grease came out of the pivots. What am I doing wrong?

That's good news! That means that your pivots contain no air space or water. However, be careful- once you feel resistance with the grease gun, then stop and don't try forcing any more grease through the zerk.

Tscheezy has an awesome site that explains this far better than I ever could, so here's the link: http://www.fooriders.com/articles/tech/turner/routinemaintenan.htm

Do yourself a favor and read his site thouroughly.

Also, someone else asked this exact question here: http://forums.mtbr.com/showthread.php?t=229&highlight=turner+pivot+maintenance
