I'm headed to Prescott this weekend and would like to hit up Trail 40 (the one Jayem describes in Dirtgurl's thread here: http://forums.mtbr.com/showthread.php?t=414477&highlight=granite) but I'm not really familiar with the Granite basin area.

Any locals headed out that way Saturday morning? Anyone have good directions or a trail map they can post up?

Just checking in to see if either of you guys are able to show me around at GB on Saturday morning. I'm heading up to Prescott tomorrow afternoon and won't have internet access after about 4pm tomorrow.

If I end up riding solo where is the best place to start and explore the area?

Nope, looks like I could easily do an evening ride in GB, but I have to work as many days a week as I can to make ends meet, so I gotta work that AM.

Most of the TH's @ GB have boxes with little maps that will have 40 on them. Local consensus is to find your way to the Little Granite TH, climb 37, then head over to the top of 40, and enjoy.

40 can also be climbed. Well, most of it.

Hey i live in the Prescott area and i was riding in the Granite Basin Area and picked up a trail map. It was right by the lake near the boat launch ramp. I can scan it in sections and post it on here if that will be a help.

7ish or 8ish will work for me unless I end up having to take the kids to the Parade :eekster:
