Is that a Jamis Fester your son is riding? Jamis make some bangin little kids mountain bikes. My son is only two and I am already eyeing his first mountain bike

I just ordered a XS (12") Jamis Durango SX frame for my daughter who is 9. It has disc mounts and about the lowest standover/frame size I could find. I've got some Avid Mechs sitting in the closet and a rigid disc fork to stick on it... Should make for a great first mtnbike if I can keep the weight reasonable.

I just took my wife up that side a couple of days ago and realized it wasn't just a road. It's actually a nice family ride and it allows me to ride a trail that I know and enjoy with them. I'll work them up to the rock garden side, but for now I'm pretty happy.

That's where I got it. I couldn't find a better deal on a disc frame that small. I've got a pile of parts to get it started, but it won't be finished for another couple of weeks.2farfwd said:
