Gopro Mount Lights with Square form Factor

This a very specific search but I haven't been able to find anything yet so figured I'd ask.

I have two stems with integrated gopro mounts on the faceplate. I am looking for a light that mounts to this that has a square-ish form factor (IE not flashlight shaped more like headlamp shaped.) Basically I'm looking for something with the shape of a specialized flux that isn't a specialized flux because the bad reviews of the flux have put me off. I love the clean look and placement of the faceplate gopro mount.

I'd like to get something in the 500-1000 lumen range, this will be on a commuter that sees light singletrack use on occasion.

Thanks for your suggestions!

Are you looking for a self-contained light or is a external battery OK? Price range?

I used an Outbound Trail before I got the Evo, and it work[ed] great. I am eagerly awaiting them making a gopro mounting lug for it, since I also use a stem-mounted gopro spline, and would like to go back to it.

If you liked the Flux(?), you'll love the light pattern of the Outbound stuff.

Self contained, this light doesn't have to be super powerful (500 to 1000lumens should be fine) so I was hoping to stay around $100 or less.

I actually have the outbound setup for my own trail bike. It is great on the trail. This light would live full time on a flat bar gravel bike (I'm actually building for someone else) that would ride like 80/20 road/singletrack. I think the outbound is a little overkill for it and the beam isn't great on the road though this light would be more to "be seen" anyway.

Well not exactly what you asked for but maybe something you hadn't thought of. Mount and light would run about $50 and has approx 1500 lumens and a good bicycler friendly UI program. Only current self-contained light configured the way you asked that I know of is the Outbound Hangover but its beam wouldn't be appropriate for your described usage. Outbound is supposed to bring out a new road oriented Hangover style light soon but would expect it to cost a fair bit over $100.

Maybe consider one of the M99 lights from Supernova; it needs a 10mm lug (dynamo light standard), though. Not too hard to adapt from one to the other; you can remove the middle spline, or install an extender, that you remove the middle spline from. It is quite expensive, though.

Square lights that have directed-beam patterns are not really easy to come by.

For what it's worth: many lower-powered e-bike headlights can be run from a battery (albeit, with no control over light levels/requiring a DIY switch/pack, typically), and share the same 10mm mounting lug.

I make 10mm lug to GoPro adapters. If interested send a PM or email to the link on the webpage in my sig line.
