Goodridge lines worth the $$$?

820 Views 2 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  BalleRacing
I need to replace my hyd brake lines but don't really want to use the cheap, generic black Hayes housing. I have found the silver "braided" Hayes lines are not very durable either. Are the Goodridge lines worth $60 per each I've found them for?

Equipment question:
Hayes Purple (00-01) w/ 203mm front and 185mm Rear. Are these the G1 calipers?

Thanks

Yes

When we started stocking the Goodridge hoses about 6 months ago I fitted a set to my bike to see how they would go.

They give a much firmer lever feel than the standard hose, can be shorter than a standard as they are much harder to kink/more flexible and most importantly look seriously cool ;)

They are worth the money, I had the stock Hayes black and silver lines and broke both. The Goodridge have been working great and they bend so much better than the stock lines but are super tough. Your brakes have the G1 caliper with the 90 degree banjo. Here is the ones you need http://www.balleracing.com/Goodridge/GRHayesG1R.htm
