since i know my heart lies in being a weight weenie and a racer i decided to get a better suited steed.
i went for the sette ace, it weighed in at 5.5lbs compared to the 7.9lbs of my iggy.

the frame came in great quality as always from sette products and it matches my bars and seat which are also sette.

added the fork, my magura menja, which is i bit to big for the frame. i plan on eventually investing in the durin sl which will weigh over a pound less.

....and a very unfocused picture of the bike. my phone wouldn't take a good one so thats all i got.

Frame: sette ace med
Fork: magura menja 130mm
Shock: RS monarch 3.3
Bottle cage: sette carbon
Headset: woodman
Stem: easton ea70 110mm
Handlebar: sette vector 7075 flatbars white
Shifters: SRAM X9
Grips: sette blue foam
Seatpost: sette primo road
Seat: sette rez
Seatclamp: woodman
Brakes: hayes stroker gram
Rotors: alligator wind cutter's 180/160
Crankset: truvative blaze (to be: middleburn rs7 duo)
Bottom Bracket: crankbrother cobalt ti
Chainrings: stylo 32/44t
Front Derailleur: shimano doere (to be: sram XX)
Rear Derailleur: SRAM X9 med cage
Chain: sram pc991 hollowpin (to be: kmc x9sl ti/ni)
Cassette: SRAM PG990 11-34
Skewers: crankbrothers split
Wheelset: hope pro2's, dt rev's, and sun ringle equalizer 21's
Tire - Front: hutchinson python air lite 2.0
Tire - Rear: hutchinson piranha air lite 2.0
Tubes: maxxis flyweight
Pedal: crankbrothers eggbeater c
total weight: 25.5lbs

i should also be getting a new seat and cable housings.

ill be sure to let you know linga. ;)

i rode to work today and set the sag to 20% and it felt way to stiff then i changed to 30%. it still felt to stiff, ill adjust it to 25% and maybe get out for a little spin tomorrow, if not ill be sure to ride on Friday and actually get a feel for it.

the sette looks very similar to the asta suspension wise.

you're just use to your iggy being so plush. welcome to XC world. where everything is stiff and efficient.

whats the weight of your bike? i dont wanna start another skim vs jake pay but some friendly competition is nice

My Asta had the Monarch shock on it & it was pretty stiff. I rode it one day after riding nothing but my Yeti for several weeks (Fox RP23) & was 'shocked' at how much stiffer it was.

dog: I'm Czech not swiss! :) got the pads! wow is that a lot of pads, im set for life now. the stocks are just getting into their sweet spot.

thats an intense ticket, my new assistant manager has got a speeding ticket on his bike! he repealed it though.

Linga: it is 25lbs and 2oz with its new sram XX and aligator housing. unfortudently i riddled the rear tube with pinches and its got a standard one in that makes it 25lbs 6oz... still waiting on a seat and cranks.
The iggy suspension was amazing, hands down truly awesome! i did get a chance to climb with the ace today, it peddled hard and stayed level all the way. it took the bumps up alright. on the decent it was great(still a tap stiff). but then i got three pinches in the rear that i fixed well enough to get home.
ill get to test it again tomorrow which should be more extensive and rigorous.

it was realy low and thats why i got the pinches. i set it to 35psi now so its running fine.

it ran well today, it feels like im riding a hardtail the entire ride but i get suspension when i need it. it still feels very stiff but its nice.
i slapped on some bar ends and adjusted the angle of the seat before my ride. it climbed amazingly well. the descents are still blisteringly fast but the bike just feels stiffer, and i dont notice the suspension acting but it feels great once the speed is over 15mph when in a climb or just pacing i feel the bumps. hopefully my new seat will make the ride quality better.
my current sette seat is no where near as nice as the sette nyx, which was amazing.

ill post picks in a second...

it will pop into 24lbs soon. there is a new crank coming in tomorrow and a carbon seat coming. i think i'm going to invest in tubeless to stop getting pinches and thorns in my ultralite tubes.
