I'm looking for a good light helmet that is comfortable and comes in large or extra large...what are you guys using?

That's a great looking helmet if you've the right shaped head. Unfortunately, I do not and the pressure it applied to my temples instantly caused a headache.

I actually just use my snowboarding helmet and take out the ear covers. It ends up looking and working just like a bucket style helmet and works double duty.:thumbsup:

has anyone tried giro's snowboard style helmets? they look pretty nice have some venting and still a better style than the normal mtb helmet.

Actually I was thinking of doing something like this since I got my first concussion boarding last season. ($4k and change of hospital bills later I'm thinking to invest in a helmet.) :madman: What one are you using?

yeah, I do similar to what Kenny C. mentioned. When I'm wearing a half-melon, I'm using my RED Shaun White helmet without the winter stuff attached. In my opinion it blows away a pro-tec as well, and it's a nice Flat hot rod black, just like I like it, no cheezy graphics, it's comfortable, nice ratchet chin strap, and the vents are decent for summer, but no better than a typical pro-tec.... check it out, maybe you could get one for closeout prices this time of year on the 06' stuff...
