really? How about an all-purpose one?
A very popular "all purpose" combination:
Maxxis Minion DHF 2.35 or 2.5 on the front
Maxxis High Roller 2.35 or 2.5 on the rear
You can get the 2.35 in a folding casing, which will be lighter, but they aren't very wide.

I Just switched to 2.5 Michelin DH24's front and back and could not be more happy.
I use one on the back, and it was pretty slippy on loose stuff (skidded out quite suddenly), until I "clipped" the transition knobs, now it feels similar to a High Roller (lets go smoothly)
