is it worth it to go from shimmano to sram, i have only heard good things about em and ive had a bunch of trouble with my deraileurs. all opinons are welcome gentelmen so post away!:thumbsup:
:rant: ...To make a short story long....:ihih:
In 2002 I lost 1/2 my right thumb, :madman: so after many years of running complete shimano groups I was forced to try
SRAM..I started with an ATTACK shorty 8speed..Life was good again, actually better because the drive-train was holding tune longer..When it did go out of tune it was mostly because of the drag and friction in the houseing loop..So I got rid of that by installing an
AVID Rollamajig..Now all I had left to piss me off was some Ghost-shifting on the rougher terrain..The XT-750 finally went bonkers...:incazzato:
:idea: Time to give
SRAM X-series ago for it..Went for the X7 RD and X7 8speed GS..Totally freacked me out, it was smoother and snappier then the XT ever was on its best given day..No ghosting, bouncing or tuning on those muddy ride:thumbsup: Life was better then just good!!!:cornut:
..........:rant: ...........:drumroll: .............
Now Iam running 06'
XO med cage RD, 9speed GS, PG-970, PC-99HP and X-gen FD..The only thing shitmano on my ride is the LX cassette carrier on my Cane Creek Aeroheat's...That I can live with, I dont have to look at it. :lol::lol::lol:
LIFE IS CRESTING ON AWESOME:thumbsup:
Would I ever go back to Shimano? They would need to pull the
Biggest Bucking Rabbit out of there A$$ Holes..Then, just maybe..

rft::ciappa: :lol:
Do I miss the XT grouppo? :idea:
NOT!!!
I do hope this helps you to make the change..I'd say it was worth 1/2 a thumb..:lol:
