Hey guys, i'm brand new to the forum. I was pretty heavy into mountain biking / trail riding back in high school, the late 90's. I want to get back into it and just needing a little guidance. I'm setting my budget at $400'ish. I don't want a wal-mart special but do see there is not much out there for my budget. What would you guys suggest?

I'm 6'0, 200lbs mostly want one for some trail riding and on back country roads.

Any help would be appreciated.

I was in the same boat as you last week and I picked up a Specialized Hardrock for under $400 new. I have taken it out on some rocky trails and it has held up really well. I would suggest checking them out. Good luck!

Nothing really compares with the Forge Sawback in this price range or look for a recent-model used bike. The Forge is only available through target.com and ships from the manufacturer. Check out the huge thread.
