I'm a steel guy whose just plain tired of riding fun hating bikes. My wife got a RacerX this year and I'm green with envy every time I watch her ride. I've been salivating over the El Cap. I'm 6' 185lbs was thinking of a 19" anyone have any insights. Has anyone used the Ventana demo program?

I think what Graham is saying in that article is that the El Cap really smooths out the trail. That's very true. On the smoothest parts of my favorite trail the Cap was silky smooth. On the root infested downhill of my favorite trail the Cap really shined. I actually made it down without crashing or dismounting or even dabbing. I wasn't bored, I was faster. The bike actually gave me more confidence and made me faster. How many bikes can you say that about?

I say that about my Pantera after every ride!! seriously though, those are generally my words when someone asks me how I like my new bike.

The demo program goes like this go to your nearest Ventana dealer it's $150 (I think) for a week rental shipping not included then you get that credited back to you if you buy within six months. Call Sherwood for the details. Since I live in Sacramento he invited me to the shop to through a leg over a big......I will be getting my X-5 after Christmas Grinch Green
