Hey thanks jhazard. I appreciate the link. I guess if looked for more than 10 seconds I could have found that thread too. My wife may be right, I am a lil lazy.
 If yer lazy, then you probably want the just the 960 version...

j/k. I am for sure lazy. But I was surprised by the GoPro altogether. So much so that I now have two camcorders, and am now shopping for a HDSLR.

Be careful, it can be addictive :D

I've decided to go with a Go Pro camera and am wondering if the $300 HD helmet hero is worth the extra money over the $180 HD Hero 960. All opinions and advice are appreciated.
Thanks.
not to sure on the go pro's features as i am a contour user myself, i have 2, normal hd 720 and the 1080p, now to answer your question,,,,,, i would say it depends what you want from your camera, will you intend to use the extra feature of the more expensive model, if you will then it's gonna be worth it, if not and all you want to do is shoot basic vids then take the cheaper option,
if i am completely honest i wasted my money going for the contour hd1080p, i was more than happy with my 720, when i heard they had launched a full hd version i just had to have one being a stupid prick with too much money lol, i went and bought one lol. i never really use all the features on the 1080p, i just usually switch it on record what ever then flick it off, like i do with my 720, so for me it was a complete waste getting the more expensive model.

Due to financial constraints, I'm lookin' into a 550D. Not as fancy as the 7D of course, but lots more affordable (and, I still have an original digital rebel with a new shutter, and a fully functioning 20D). If I can sweet talk the wife, I may work my way in to a 60D :D

It doesn't have to be. Use it to provide multiple Points of View in your vids. Say one atop the helmet--one facing to rear of bike ,,or however.

Sweet. I think I still grab my 300d more than the 20d.. Shot a Dirt Rag cover with it even ;)
