These photos are from the North or Backside of Go John heading CCW. I hope they dont go any further. The hikers I spoke with were none to happy about it either. Say Goodbye to one of the best trails in Phoenix proper.

No photo, but presumably the trail is being essentially paved like the rest of the trails in the area.

Personally, I am not likely to use it if that happens. Maybe that's the point.

Those who need heavily groomed trails have the Overton loop which offers plenty of elevation change, some exposure, and switchbacks.

You sure they were not blown off the edge of the cliff? There were some wicked winds in the SOMO area over the weekend .
