I'm thinking of buying a Remedy and wearing it without the (humongous) cheekpads for strictly XC, er, I mean, ALL MOUNTAIN use.
I tried it on without the pads and it was actually pretty stable.
Removing the cheek pads obviously won't offer the protection available with the pads in place, but I figure it can't be much worse than the MET Parachute or the old Switchblade. Besides, I only need it in order to keep my teeth and nose protected should I ever come face to to face with ridiculously sharp and bountiful rocks we have in our local trails.
So has anyone tried wearing the Remedy without cheek pads, or have an opinion on the matter?
Thanks,
Ant
