Anyone out there have any time with both? Or just input on either?

I am in the market for a new half shell. I live in AZ and would like air flow for sure. I looked around a few shops in town and the current selections are very few. Mostly very basic options and if they have higher ($100 and up) options it is just three Specialized options. Even then size then becomes a limiter.

At one shop I found stacks and stacks of helmets. Though they seemed to be only 3-4 helmet models and just stacks of them. This shop was said to have the Specialized Tactic 3 but it was not there. They had a different Specialized for similar price and I grabbed it. I tried it on in the shop and then again at home. After spending a few minutes inside it I decided it was not for me.

Rather than waste gas at 15mpg with today's prices, I decided to use Amazon for at home test fitting. So now I have Scott, Giro and Fox helmets to choose from. I have already eliminated the Scott helmet.

The two I have narrowed it down to are the Giro Fixture and the Fox Speedframe. Both helmets are comfy, light, have lots of holes for airflow and MIPS. So now I am sitting here trying to pick one. I am tempted to cut the little yellow feature cards that are attached to the straps and try a ride or two in each but I don't think that would be right to do. I know I don't want to buy a helmet that is supposed to be BNIB and find that someone sweated in it already. When I chose to use Amazon I was thinking I would find a clear winner. Unfortunately, I am 50/50 on these two and that is where I hope you all can help provide me some input/guidance on picking one of them.

So, what say you???

I've been using the Fixture for about a year and a half now and it's been a great helmet. I've always liked the fit of Giro helmets, they just seem to work with my head shape. The fixture is light, well ventilated, and a very basic helmet. It's worked well in the SoCal 90 degree plus summers. It always comes down to how it feels on your head when you first put it on.
