Hmmmm, I don't know where those photos came from but that does not look like production graphics. Perhaps these are versions just to show the components on the production versions. That Giant white sticker looks like the prototype sticker. These graphics are not within cooee of the graphics that Andrew (marketing dude at Giant) posted on a different thread.

If Giant runs to their normal modus operandi, the frames will be aluminum until Giant sees how they sell, then they may do a carbon version. Ditto the Maestro version.
I'd like to see an Alliance version w/ carbon seatstays similar to the Mamasita.

Those are the final graphics, Giant wouldn't have put them in their catalogue/website photos if they weren't...

XTC 2 starts shipping to dealers in the next couple weeks.
XTC 1 starts shipping to dealers in the 3 or 4 weeks.
Alliance is planned for the fall .
Full composite planned for the fall/spring.
Anthem 29r is planned for the next year.

EDIT: XTC 2 is around 1350, and the XTC 1 is around 2150.
Well

It seems i'll get a taste of the xtc1 this weekend. I'll be able to hold on to a demo bike for a week or so and give it a roll. I'll put some trail pics up on here.
Very Nice..

Is there going to be a frame only option or did I miss it somewhere?

Looks good.
Well, I stand corrected. Thank God and caak. It's just that from the side the black one looks like the normal prototype paintjob/sticker combo.

Looks great!
Here you go.

They are now here and ready to ride.

XTC 29er 1 - 26.37 lbs (no pedals)

This bike looks fast sitting still. If your in the area swing past and check it out.

we've got 'em too! Simi Cycling Center... a little bummed that it's 2lbs heavier than the Stumpjumper 29er Marathon hardtail - but it does have: 1. 15mm QR that the stumpy doesn't 2. An extra 20mm of travel...

Think I'll add SRAM XX to mine and get the weight down... curious to see how those Giant branded rims compare to Stans or DT Swiss, etc...

Good Stuff Giant!
Those rims have a lot of depth, kinda like the Velocity. They should make a strong wheel.

Is there a big cost difference?

Whatever the case, the bike looks sharp!
That’s looking really nice!

Think I’d send it back if they tried to give me last years Deore cranks though…

What are the hubs?

Can the bikes be converted to single speed? It doesn't look like it from the photos.
