It's hard to put a value on it, but Giant clearly seems to have put a lot more money into the frame than Specialized. The tooling, time, and other resources going into each frame is what makes it stand out. It takes a ride on each to believe it and I'd like to see if all that work amounts to any serious difference. I'm not an XC racer, so don't expect any report from me.Whambat said:Looks good. But for price/ spec wise I would have expected better from Giant. I think the Spesh Stumpjumper has a slightly better spec for slightly less money, Giant usually offers a tad more value.
