Giant warranty frame replacement

Back in September I had a Giant frame that developed a hairline crack. It was under warranty, and qualified for replacement.

So it's approaching the three month mark that I have been without a bike.

The Giant rep tells my dealer that there are no replacement frames available anywhere in the country.

I let them know that I was flexible, and would consider any frame or bike that was in my size (Large mtb, M/L road).

Was told there was not a single frame available anywhere in the last three months. (I am well aware of the supply chain issues that currently exist)

Any insiders here that can confirm this is really the case? Just seems strange such a large manufacturer has literally zero frames available over the course of three months and counting.

You are receiving accurate information. I put in a claim in July for a hairline crack on my Trance. Still waiting. It grew a little over the summer, but has held together.
Still haven't heard anything ... they've had my bike for 5.5 months. How about you? This is pretty crazy.
Anyone have any luck with Giant replacing a warranty frame?
Sorry to hear about your delays. I found a crack in my ‘19 carbon Trance 29er and Giant provided the new warranty frame within three weeks. Same frame, in ‘21 colours.

I had a 2020 Trance 29 frame replaced last October. Took my local shop a couple days to find a replacement. I had it within a week. I'm an ambassador for the shop, so I'm sure I got a little faster help. But I also know that from what the rep said, the frame I got was a last one. So there definitely are frame shortages.

I wanted to order a new 2022 Trance X and it wasn't going to come in until the end of this year! I ended up getting a 2021 Reign that a dealer had on hand. But there wasn't much out there even from the 2021 lines. Especially in a Large size.

Will the shop give you a demo to ride?

While it may be inconvenient ... what about buying a different bike until yours gets fixed. Then selling either your old bike, or the new one. Used bike prices are really high right now, so you may come close to out even in the end.
