All I can find on the net is that it's 27.2...but it certainly isn't that.
From measuring it I get 30.1, but as there is no 30.1 size I'm guessing its actually 30.2
Can any one please confirm this for me?

You're close, it's a 30.9

Check Easton, they make a 30.9 EA50 post (that's what came stock on my '05 Giant DH)

edit: I just checked and Thompson and Race Face also make posts in 30.9. Fairly common size I guess.
