These specs are hard to find. So I called Giant and got the service manual for the Anthem X frame.

Finally some precise info on the Anthem X. Good job! :thumbsup: It was some kind of a consensus that the values were the same as the Trance X, and they seem to be, but a confirmation is always welcome.

What I'm seeing now is that my upper shock mount bolt is missing a washer!



I've looked at some photos through Google and it seems that there are two designs.

Mine is similar to the first one. No depression where the bolt head sits. Nonetheless could you guys check and see if your frames have a washer? Just to be sure that for some reason I am missing it, because if so, i ought to get one. I bet Giant didn't assemble the rocker with a washer just for kicks...

it looks like one of your pics is a Anthem X29er and the other is not a X29er--I don't think you are comparing apples to apples. that said I would double check if you are missing a washer in any case.

I know. But i haven't found a suitable image of the rocker arm with no depression of a regular Anthem X. Nonetheless the rocker arm on my Anthem has the same design like the 29'er.

I have found some photos of (i think) 11' carbon frames and from Trances who don't have a washer, but unfortunately I've also seen others who have it... I'm sure i haven't dropped anything when performing maintenance to the shock but unfortunately I can't vouch for the guys who switched the Float R for this RP23 back at the shop where I bought it... I guess that at that spot the washer isn't that needed, just an added safety and layer to distribute bolt forces (and maybe a bit of protection to paint from the bolt spinning). However as I've said, if Giant put one on some bikes, i guess they didn't do it just for kicks. Beats me why some have and some don't...

Once more, if someone could check their bike... I would be really grateful!
