Which is a better overall system for running standard 2.25 nobby nic tires on DT Swiss 4.2 rims. I'm mostly worried about the tires burping. Does anyone have experience with both the DT Swiss conversaion kit and the ghetto tubeless conversions using an inner tube as the rim strip? Thanks.

Get the Stans. DT Swiss strips kind of worked, but not as well as Stans. If you want to save money, try ghetto.

I like the ghetto, you get a rubber to rubber seal. See this post on a conversion I just did.

I also have DT 5.1 converted with the DT strip. I'm using Kenda non tubless tires and the bead locks in really good. You really have to work to get the bead broke loose when having to change tires.

Zero problems with the DT, like I said it locks the bead in realy well.

I have not ridden the current ghetto set up, but I had DH rims set up with DH tires set up ghetto with fairly low pressure (25 lbs) with no burping.

Try the ghetto (cheap) if it doesn't work, then go DT or stans.

Ghetto tubeless works great! I have run it for the past 2 years with only 1 burp. The only burp was when I was running 20 psi, which I knew was not enough. If ghetto does not work for you then go with the Stans rim strips, which work like a champ.
