Well I have a question for all you women riders out there. I am a cycling club organizer for a college team/club in Flagtaff. We want to hold rides for women to come and become interested in the cycling world. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I could do this.

marketing to women

What form would the recruiting take? Flyers? Ads?

Due to all the posts from guys wanting to get their GFs or spouses into it, I'd say use an approach like, "Come and see what your BF has been doing all weekend!" ;)

Better yet, promote it as a social outlet where like-minded gals can get into shape while outdoors enjoying the nice weather. Try not to mention the blood, ticks, bruises, scrapes, missing teeth, broken bones, expenses, sunburn and sweat right off the bat. :D

Here is another link for you flygurlz ....They are an awsome group of women in Ontario, Canada that do clinics and rides all the time. They also have a XC and DH team. I think my Dad said they are wanting to move inot the US next year so you may be able to work with them
