Currently i drive a scott scale 910 medium bike with a stem of 12 cm (4,72 inch). My innerleg measurement is 89 cm (35,03 inch) and i'm 1m83 (6ft)

I'm looking for something new and currenty i'm looking for another scale 910 an the canyon exceed.

If i look @ the geometry of the scale and the exceed they are almost the same.

Both mediums are the same. But canyon says imust take a Large.

What do you guys / girls think?

still...most bikes are built around shorter stems these days. even xc bikes. the scott comes with a 70mm stem and the canyon an 80mm one. Consider the larger frame with a shorter stem to adjust fit.

That said, it appears you've got a LOOOONG inseam, which suggests a smaller frame size with miles of seatpost sticking out.

I'm 5'11' with a 32'' inseam, I can't imagine riding any of the bikes I've owned in the past in a medium. Always been on a large.

There is only 1 or 2 exceptions to that for some brands I've never owned, like GG.

there's a fair number of taller riders with huge inseams that fit best on a frame size smaller than you'd expect given your proportions. because their proportions are very different.

6' - 34 inseam love my medium chiner frame. I do run a 100mm stem and enjoy knee room

Im 193cm, and I ride Scale 900 2019 in L size. Im not sure about inseam, but I would say my legs are somewhere in between (Im athletic build rather that stork LOL). And the stem is stock (not sure but its either 80 or 90mm). Bike fits me quite fine, however boost Scale (as mine) is lower and longer then previous non-boost model. That gives me great standover hight, 400mm seatpost extended to maximum, and great maneuverability.

To conclude, if your Scale is non-boost (I guess it is cause you wanna buy the new one), go for size M and you probably won’t need longer stem.
Also boost Scale is WAY more comfortable than previous, and it has noticeably shorter chainstays than Canyon (425 vs 432mm).

Only you have the answer. Spend 2hrs on each.
We have habits, personal preferences.
Theoricly i think L but i never trust others.

I know it's a personal thing.
That being said, I can't imagine being on a bike with a reach less then 450 (I'm 5'10").

The compromises I've made in the past, making shorter frames work are no more.

Make time to checkout a larger frame...you'll thank me later
