Hi can any one tell me if there is any difference between a Gemini 3000 frame only and a Gemini 900...is the 3000 maybe lighter stronger etc or is the difference only in the components?

The Gemini 3000 Frame is actually the DH Frame which has 180cm rear travel instead of the Gemini 900 which has 150-170 cm rear travel. Also the headangle is a bit slacker with the DH frame but very versatile. I used that frame/bike last year for all kinds of DH/Freeriding ! If you get it - take it !

Wow, that would be one crazy Gemini if it had 180 cm of travel. Its 180 mm to correct you. Same with the 900, its 150-170 mm.

I think it is the same frame. The 3000 is the same as my 2003 G1000. It is NOT the Gemni DH frame.

THe only question is about the model year, and the thru-12 swingarm.

Correct, for that year.

Without more info, there is no way to tell. There was a RealTree camo frame that was a Gemini 3000 in 2003. It is the same Qr frame that I have.

This is why I said the questions revolve around the year, and the rear swingarm.
it has a thru 12 rear axel and a floater better frame then the stander thru 12 ( 2000 , 900) or the qr version (900)
My statement remains.

Without knowing the year of the frame the OP is asking about, we just DO NOT KNOW what frame type it is.

THe frame in the photo is not the one the OP is asking about.

I know my Cannondales. We need to know the year the OP is asking about. Or have a photo of the rear end.
10 mm travel, a brake link, and the 3000/dh are more beefed
We got it.

THat does NOT answer the question for the OP. Without knowing the year, or having a photo, we can not tell what is up.

Unless the photo that Gemini put up is the SAME bike.

chill dude
Was I shouting?

I am not trying to go over the top. I am just trying to help the op, but he seems to have played a vanishing act.
