Many have gone to two or even sometimes one chainring in the front. Many do it to install a bash ring to guard against rocks and logs. For XC i think you should have all three chainrings, but many freeriders, DH'ers, and all mountain riders feel the big ring is not needed.Gripshift said:Has anyone changed the original configuration of their bike to use only one or two chain rings up front? If you have how has it worked out and what setup do you have now?
Thanks,
