Is it on rebound? My two SPV Swinger air shocks and my two 5th E coil have always had asthma on the rebound cycle. My DHX coils and air shocks don't make this noise. It's something in the natural design of SPV style Manitou and Progressive shocks. Now...that doesn't mean yours is fine, of course, but they make some decent noise on the rebound cycle.
