Hey guys-

I recently purchased a Gary Fisher Bitter 21". I am a bigger guy 6'2 280lbs and the front fork seems to compress really easily. Because there is no adjustment is it possible to upgrade the forks to something heavier duty? Thanks in advance and I apologize for the newb question, I am very new to this.

You can definitely upgrade the fork if you want to go that route. I'm not familiar with the Manitou Splice Super fork (that's what the Gary Fisher site says this bikes has), but if it is anything like the Splice Platinum, then it is an air-sprung fork and air should be added to increase the spring rate. You might be above the max weight for the fork, for all I know. Your local bike shop, or Manitou, should be able to help you with any questions about the fork. I know other forks with springs in them can be upgraded with heavier springs for different weight riders. Find out what fork it has on it, and post questions in the suspension forum. You will probably get more responses.
